National Roller Coaster Event Includes Conneaut Lake Park
As part of Coaster Con XXXIII, the 33rd annual convention of American Coaster Enthusiasts (ACE), more than 400 roller coaster enthusiasts from 37 states and two foreign countries will descend upon Conneaut Lake Park and give special recognition to the Blue Streak roller coaster on Thursday, June 24, 2010, when the organization will dedicate it as an ACE Roller Coaster Landmark. Attendees of the weeklong celebration of all things roller coaster will spend one day of their week of roller coaster enjoyment at Conneaut Lake Park.

As part of Coaster Con XXXIII, more than 400 roller coaster enthusiasts from 37 states and two foreign countries will descend upon Idlewild & Soak Zone on Tuesday, June 22, 2010. A weeklong celebration of all things roller coaster, the 33rd annual convention of American Coaster Enthusiasts (ACE) will spend a day during their week of roller coaster enjoyment at the delightful Idlewild Park. Highlights of the convention include hours and hours of riding roller coasters while they are closed to the public.

National Roller Coaster Convention to be Held at Kennywood
As part of their celebration of Coaster Con XXXIII, more than 400 roller coaster enthusiasts from 37 states and two foreign countries will descend upon Kennywood and give special recognition to two of its historic roller coasters on Monday, June 21, 2010. A weeklong celebration of all things roller coaster, the 33rd annual convention of American Coaster Enthusiasts (ACE) will spend the first four days of their week of roller coaster enjoyment at Kennywood (June 20-23). Highlights of the convention include hours of riding roller coasters while they are closed to the public.

American Coaster Enthusiasts Announces Officer Election Results
This summer, ACE held its biannual elections for the positions of President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer. Incumbents Mark Cole, Dave Altman, and Bill Linkenheimer have been reelected as President, Vice President, and Secretary, respectively. Bill Graves has been elected as Treasurer.

ACE Clarifies Position on Geauga Lake Big Dipper
The purchase and subsequent closure of Geauga Lake by Cedar Fair, LLP evoked concern within the enthusiast and preservationist communities from almost the moment it happened. At the forefront of this concern was the future of the venerated park’s classic Big Dipper roller coaster, which is the country’s seventh oldest roller coaster. American Coaster Enthusiasts (ACE) has made saving this coaster a high priority.
